Legendary Beatle Paul McCartney licenses song for
a commercial product.
For
the first time in his career, Paul McCartney has agreed to let a
company license one of his songs for a talking product. Details of
the product are confidential, but Kamhi Report can exclusively
reveal that it is a new patented gift concept that will be released
in time for Christmas. Major retail chains are chomping at the bit
to carry it. He loves us yeah, yeah, yeah…
The 3 Chipmunks are back! Remember
Alvin, Simon and Theodore? I grew up watching these guys when I was
a kid, and now Fox is bringing them to the big screen in an all-new
CGI adventure this Christmas. The 2007 chipmunks dress in cool
hip-hop outfits, and sing Justin Timberlake style music that is sure
to be a hit with teens and tweens. Heck, even I was tapping my foot
while listening to the top-secret audio track!
Who is this little guy on my pen?
Imagine ANY character sculpted atop a talking pen, with lips
that actually move in perfect synchronization with the audio? Expect
to see these pens hitting the market in 2008.
What do all of
these have in common? Upcoming KamhiWorld products… you’ll
have to wait to see them at FunTalking.com or in retail stores… but
it’ll be worth the wait! |

downloadable movies are coming |

We’ve been hearing
that cry for a while now – like five years. Finally it looks like it
is happening.
One way to do it is coming to homes
nationwide later this summer. Any broadband
connection will give consumers access to some 5000 movies. It’s
called Vudu. It works over any broadband connection, the required
device will retail for about $500, and downloads (which are stored
in the box) $1 to $4 for a rental; you can also purchase movies. The
company has deals with seven major studios and numerous
distributors. If you sell electronics, computers, or entertainment,
you might want to check this out. Click here for more
information.
Meanwhile,
Blockbuster just bought the download
company Movielink – reportedly for a mere $20
million. Started by five major studios in 2002, it’s been on the
market for over a year. But the download battle is heating up. Read
all about it.
Netflix entered the fray in January
using a streaming video system, and it should be available now to
all subscribers. They take a different approach - you don’t have to
wait for a download but quality can be much lower. Details
here. |

The
tallest Lego in the world is currently under
construction in Toronto, Canada. When I was growing up with Lego, I
could never build higher than about two feet. The Canadian builders
are going for the Guinness record, set in California, of 94.3 feet
(28.58 meters). That’s almost as high as a ten-story building. Will
they succeed? Stay tuned for results in the next
issue.
Rehearse for your shot on American
Idol with this new toy scheduled for next
Christmas. It’s a hand-held video that’s a lot more sophisticated
than a phone. Hook it up to your computer for unlimited recording
time (six minutes if it’s not connected). It’s also a cheap way to
make home videos, and small enough to take anywhere (vacation,
beach, a party, etc.). Suggested retail of $50. It’s no surprise but
a slew
of new electronic toys will be on shelves in time for Christmas.
Toys talking to one another? You
won’t see it this season, but you’ll probably see it soon. Nokia,
the inventor and biggest player in Bluetooth technology, has
developed a low-power version called “Wibree” that will make this
application practical for a host of new uses, including such things
as your GI Joes recognizing other (toy) friendlies or enemies
nearby. Here’s
the story.
Star Wars 7? Well, not
exactly. Rumor has it that George Lucas is editing yet another
Star Wars film. It’s a documentary about the 501
legion of storm troopers, to be shown on the History Channel and
available on DVD. All of you celebrating the 30th anniversary of the
very first Star Wars, you’ll have a chance to add to your
collection. That's it until the next
time....
