Not only won’t it lose its flavor on the bedpost
overnight…
it won’t stick. An ingredient is added to regular chewing gum that
puts a coat of water over the gum, so that you can take it off your
shoes and out of your hair. Kids can’t stick it to the
underside of their desk at school anymore, either. It should be
available next year; we’re sure you’ll be
waiting eagerly!
Got a great toy idea? Have you
come up with a new, unique toy that might sell? That’s what I had,
and that’s what I’m doing today. If you have an idea, too, here’s
a checklist of how to market your idea, taken from a top toy
source. There’s some great novelty ideas in the article, too.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull:
It
won’t feature an aged adventurer giving it one last go against the
bad guys. Instead, you’ll see Indiana’s son as the hero, played by
Shia LaBoeuf (but Harrison Ford will be in it too, along with Cate
Blanchett). George Lucas wrote the story and Spielberg is directing,
so bet on it having that same movie magic. I heard Indiana’s son is
nicknamed “New Hampshire,” but don’t quote me on that.
Kids write newest hit: iCarly,
Nickelodeon’s newest hit was also partly written by kids:
Some 13 million viewers watched the first episode. It’s about a teen
girl, Carly, who has all the typical problems of her age, and also
makes Web casts in her room at home. Will the “i-whatever” crazy
never end? What’s next? iCars? iHouses? iTunes? Oh….
wait.
Lead paint in toys: Here’s a followup
for concerned parents. Toy manufacturers have taken vigorous action
including major recalls. But what about all the stuff you already
bought that’s one or two or three years old? Here’s
a place to check out a lot of it, as well as to get some tips on
how to avoid problems like this in the future (it’s good to remember
that despite the new laws and promises, no safety system is
perfect). That's it until the next
time....
