Fun Facts

■ In the scene where Andy was having his chest waxed, actor Steve Carell was really having his chest hair ripped out by the roots in the scene. It required five cameras shooting at once to capture all the angles, since this scene could only be done one time. Steve Carell told the director before shooting the scene: "It has to be real. It won't be as funny if it's mocked up or if it's special effect. You have to see that this is really happening."

■ In the scene in the bookstore, Cal and Andy walk past a book visible in the upper left corner, titled "America (The Book)" by Jon Stewart. Stewart's "The Daily Show" featured Steve Carell as a reporter.
